My Little Prince..

has finally arrived! Well 3 weeks ago to be exact but this is the first chance I have had to come and update my blog!!.

Harrison Jasper arrived at 8.36pm on Tuesday April 17th weighing in at 8lb 8oz and completely and utterly perfect in every way!

The delivery (c-section) went along fine, until my blood pressure and my heart rate started playing funny buggers so they put some magic medicine in the IV and I picked up straight away, was a little scary for a minute there though!

Harrison had to spend the first night in the special care nursery so they could monitor his oxygen levels and his temperature but at 5.30am the next day my darling hubby wheeled him back in to my room!!!!!

We spent a week in hospital recovering and watching him as his weight dropped quite a lot quite quickly which was worrying so he is now on formula and I'm not feeding at all. :(

Which took me a bit to get my head around, partly because I really enjoy breast feeding but also because I know he is my last baby and I'm not ready to accept that that part of my life is done. Hmm I dunno I'm probably not making sense LOL, but ultimately I had to do what was best for my little man and after long discussions with the Doctor, the paediatrician and my hunky hubby we all came to the conclusion that formula was the best course of action for him.

He truly is the most adorable baby..yes I know I am biased but he completely melts me, his smell, his looks, him.

His life and presence in ours are truly precious.
